VALENTINE (V1) C6 MIRROR MOUNT

                               FITS BOTH GEN1 AND GEN2 V1's

The only required item that is not supplied is the plastic part of the sun visor mount that you would have received
with your V1 unit.  Just remove the metal clip that is attached.

Slide the sun visor clip that was supplied with your V1 into the tab of our metal bracket.  Slide and snap the V1 to the factory visor clip.  The fit should be snug and the radar detector should not slide off the mount without a fair amount of effort to remove it.  Sitting in the drivers seat adjust the mirror to its normal position when driving.  Dry mount the now 3 piece assembly to the mirror (hold the assembly where it will be fastened to the mirror without removing the tape film).  In most driving positions the bracket should be fine.  Every person is a different size and positions their mirror to suit their view.  If the V1 does not hang level, disassemble and take a pair of pliers and slightly bend the bracket at the “J” (see below).  Slightly pinch together or spread apart as needed.  Use a cloth with the pliers to prevent scarring of the mirror mount bracket.  When in position, the V1 should hang level and have a small gap between the bottom of the rear view mirror and the top of the unit. It should not block the map lights or affect your OnStar (if so equipped). Reassemble.

Wipe the back side of the mirror with the supplied alcohol wipe and let dry.  Remove the top tape film. USE CAUTION here and try to attach the assembly in the correct position the first time.  Each time the assembly is removed/repositioned, the tape becomes less “tacky” and long term adhesion may be affected.  The supplied tape is the best in the industry.  It is UV stable and will hold at temperature extremes of +200 to -30 degrees Fahrenheit.  Attach the assembly to the back side of the mirror (the side that faces the windshield) with the taped side of the bracket.  It works best if you attach the bracket as high as possible on the reverse of the mirror (see picture below) unless you have one of the manual lever day/night mirrors.  Then mount the bracket to the backside of the mirror with enough clearance to operate the lever.   Our mirror mount will remain attached to the mirror.  The detector can be removed and moved to another vehicle if desired.

VALENTINE (V1) C6 VISOR MOUNT

                               FITS BOTH GEN1 AND GEN2 V1's

The only required item that is not supplied is the plastic part of the sun visor mount that you would have received
with your V1 unit.  Just remove the metal clip that is attached.

Using a Torx head screwdriver, remove the factory screw securing the passenger sun visor clip to the cars’ head
liner.  This screw will not be reused as it will be too short.  Do not remove the factory visor clip from the head
liner.  Hold the new bracket up to the sun visor clip, center the bracket hole over the screw hole with the small
welded round bar towards the roof top (this round bar should fit snugly against the windshield side of the factory
sun visor clip and its purpose is to prevent the bracket from pivoting left or right), and attach it with the new longer
Phillips head screw we supplied with our bracket.  Tighten screw and attach the V1 and the V1 plastic visor mount
to our bracket.  The fit should be snug and the radar detector should not slide off the mount without a fair amount
of effort to remove it.  The detector can be removed and moved to another vehicle if desired.  Our visor mount will
remain attached to the sun visor clip and does not hinder the movement of the sun visor except in the extreme
forward tilted position (tilted down toward the windshield).  Bracket may need to be bent slightly by hand to
accommodate clearing the OnStar windshield module if so equipped.

When in position, the V1 should hang level and it should not block the console light built into the sun visor clip.
Just remember when the sun visor is pulled down or lowered it may block the rear pick-up sensor of the Valentine.

Any further questions or concerns please call Ed at (734) 266-1815 if you need any additional assistance and thank
you again for purchasing one of our products.

ESCORT/PASSPORT/BELL C6 MIRROR MOUNT

Slide the radar detector into the tab of our metal bracket.   The fit should be snug and the radar detector should not slide off the mount without a fair amount of effort to remove it.  If the fit is too tight, it may be necessary to grind or file the unpainted part of the bracket to suit.  This is due to the fact the slot in the plastic housing of the detector may vary slightly. Sitting in the drivers seat adjust the mirror to its normal position when driving.  Dry mount the assembly to the mirror
(hold the assembly where it will be fastened to the mirror without removing the tape film).  In most driving positions the bracket should be fine. Every person is a different size and positions their mirror to suit their view.  If the detector does not hang level, disassemble and take a pair of pliers and slightly bend the bracket at the  “J” (see below).  Slightly pinch together or spread apart as needed.  Use a cloth with the pliers to prevent scarring of the mirror mount bracket.  When in position,  the detector should hang level and have a small gap between the bottom of the rear view mirror and the top of the unit. It should not block the map lights or effect your OnStar (if so equipped).

The detector can be removed and moved to another vehicle if desired
